August 3, 2020 – DroneAnalyst, an independent drone research, content and consulting company, today welcomes David Benowitz as Head of Research, who is responsible for expanding its range of research products to provide more transparency about the state of the mature commercial drone industry create.

My experience in establishing and growing DJI’s business since 2016 has given me a unique perspective on the drone industry. I am very excited about the opportunity to use this experience to support the entire industry with the aim of realizing the full potential of this technology and ecosystem.

Benowitz joined DroneAnalyst from 4 years at DJI, the world’s leading civil drone and aerial technology company. There he was Associate Director for Marketing Communications. While at the company, Benowitz was a founding member of DJI Enterprise and led the development of his corporate marketing and research programs, as well as DJI AirWorks, the company’s annual commercial drone conference.

With Benowitz at the forefront of DroneAnalyst’s research program, the industry can count on the start of its annual market survey 2020 in September and the further expansion of its research products and consulting services in the coming years.

Since its foundation in 2016, DroneAnalyst has always emphasized a realistic, fact-based approach to its research. DroneAnalyst will continue this focus, be it through its annual market sector report, advisory services or presence on social media.

With DroneAnalyst, we have always emphasized a realistic view of the industry and its potential. Working with David during his time at DJI and discussions since then, I am glad to know that DroneAnalyst’s efforts and traditions continue.

Benowitz is supported by Layne Van Rhijn, CTO of DroneAnalyst, who manages a diverse portfolio of technology and photography websites. Layne has also been working intensively in the drone industry since 2010 and works on customer-specific projects for customers such as Defense Research & Development Canada, Thompson Rivers University, Bayer Crop Science, JD Irving and others.
