FLIR Methods Introduces Vue TZ20 Twin Thermal Digicam Drone Payload – Drones Information
The FLIR® Vue® TZ20 is the first high-resolution gimbal with two thermal sensors built for the DJI® Matrice V2 200 Series and Matrice 300 airframes. Ideal for public safety teams – including police, fire and search and rescue services – as well as industrial and critical infrastructure inspectors, the Vue TZ20 gives drone pilots the situational awareness they need to complete their missions.
The Vue TZ20 has both a wide-angle boson sensor with a 95-degree field of view and a narrow-angle boson with a 19-degree field of view, and allows pilots to easily get more pixels on the target. With a resolution of 640 × 512 and a 20-fold digital thermal zoom function, pilots can safely capture thermal data from a distance. The payload is rated IP44 to be ready for use in bad weather conditions and weighs only 640 grams.
FLIR developed the Vue TZ20 with the DJI Payload Software Development Kit (PSDK) and the DJI Skyport 2.0 platform and offers simplified plug-and-play operation via the DJI Pilot software. Payload capabilities include thermal video streaming, video recording and still image capture with 20x zoom, allowing operators to perform missions at safe distances while capturing the necessary thermal data and details.
The FLIR Vue TZ20 is available for purchase and delivery today through authorized FLIR dealers. Further information: flir.com/vue-tz20
