GeoAcuity hires Dr. Greg Crutsinger as Director of Utilized Analysis – Drones Information


GeoAcuity, a geospatial consulting firm with offices in California and Louisiana, is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Crutsinger joined his team as Director of Applied Research. Greg will assist the company with strategic planning, data analysis, and educational content as the company continues to expand.

Greg brings more than two decades of education, research, and drone industry experience.

During his academic career, he received his PhD in ecology from the University of Tennessee, was a Miller Fellow at UC Berkeley, and led his own research team as a faculty at the University of British Columbia. Greg left university to join the drone sector.

He has worked for leading drone hardware and software companies including 3DR, Parrot and Pix4D.

For the past three years he has run his own data consultancy Scholar Farms, where he worked with world leaders in commercial farming. In addition to his expertise in vegetation mapping, Greg helped quickly collect drone data following the major California wildfires, including the Paradise bonfire in 2018.
