SPEAKER: JC Shine
JC Shine is a technical assistant in the Remote Control Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Department at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Aviation Office. Ms. Shine has been in the RPAS department for 2 years. The projects she has worked on at the ICAO include the ICAO-UAS Model Regulations and Advisory Circulars, the Guidelines for Humanitarian Aid and Emergency Measures, the ICAO Course on Unmanned Aerospace Basics and similar guidance and training materials.
Ms. Shine holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from Oklahoma City University, as well as two associate degrees, one in unmanned aircraft operations. Ms. Shine is seconded from the U.S. FAA, where she works as an operational security inspector with a focus on UAS. During her time at the FAA, she worked alongside her field duties as a UAS contact point until she entered the head office, where she worked on the UAS rule-setting team with other political tasks.
