New Aerial Surveillance Capabilities with IMSAR’s NSP-7 Artificial Aperture Radar on a Primoco UAV One 150 – Drones Information
IMSAR and Primoco UAV have successfully completed the integration and preliminary flight tests of the NSP-7 synthetic aperture radar on the Primoco One 150 UAV. Live flight tests in the Czech Republic confirmed the aircraft’s performance and confirmed a flight duration of up to 10 hours. With the SAR radar installed on the port side of the hull, the payload bay remains clear and allows the EO / IR surveillance system to be installed and operated at the same time.
With the multi-sensor capability, the system can be used for border surveillance and sea patrols, ISR (Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance) missions, long-range mapping, and HADR (Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief) support for a fraction of the operating costs of manned platforms.
The NSP-7 is a multimode Ku-band radar system with small size, weight, performance and cost (SWaP-C). It’s packaged in an easy-to-integrate, weathered pod form factor. The radar performs a variety of modes including high resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR), size and coherent change detection (MCD / CCD), and ground and sea motion target indicators (GMTI / MMTI).
The system works day and night, in all weather conditions and under other conditions with poor visibility, e.g. B. through fog or smoke.
