MMP on Sherpa Scout
Aix en Provence, July 27, 2020. The EDIDP (European Defense Industrial Development Program) was developed to strengthen the strategic autonomy of the European Union in the field of defense. Novadem has integrated a consortium of 10 other French, Belgian and Cypriot companies and institutions. Together they will work together on a project called LynkEUs.
This LynkEUs project, coordinated by the French company MBDA (European Leader in Missiles and Missiles Systems Design) and financed by Europe with 6.5 million euros, aims to make a BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) thanks to antenna and develop terrestrial robotized observation tools.
This project strengthens the development of the coupling between the MBDA MMP rocket and the Novadem NX70 drone labeling capabilities, which have already been launched by Novadem and MBDA.
In addition to drones, Novadem will bring its expertise to the consortium for optronic payloads for air and land platforms.
“Thanks to LynkEUs, we are making progress in the management of research projects. In fact, we were before
Cooperation on national projects, but never on European ones. This is a real opportunity for us to have access to a scientific and strategic relationship with European institutional or private partners. This shows our willingness to expand our business beyond our borders, ”says Pascal Zunino, CEO and co-founder of Novadem.
About the EDIDP program:
The European Defense Industrial Development Program was launched by the European Union to fund the joint development of defense products and technologies in two years and with a budget of EUR 500 million.
The main goal is to strengthen the competitiveness, efficiency and innovative ability of the defense industry through Europe in order to increase its strategic autonomy.
For several years now, land fighting has been highlighted as a priority for European capability development.
For this reason, the LynkEus industrial project was selected, which is based on the development of capabilities for firing BLOS (Beyond Line Of Sight) rockets.
