R-SYS efficiently deployed “mydronespace” Registration and Airspace Administration service for drone pilots in Hungary – Drones Information

The Slovak company R-SYS Ltd., a subsidiary of ERA, has successfully completed a process to develop and deploy the mydronespace TM system for the Hungarian air navigation service provider HungaroControl. Two key components of the HungaroContol mobile application for drone pilots and UAS operators as well as the web console for supervisory authorities together form a cornerstone for the secure registration of drone pilots and a reliable airspace management service for UAS operations in Hungary.

The Mydronespace solution represents a good basis for the future U-Space-System (UTM), which is supposed to fully integrate the unmanned aerial vehicles into the ATC environment. Mydronespace was developed for HungaroControl, the Hungarian ANS provider, and delivered to it for operational use and provision of services. With mydronespace, HungaroControl can offer UAS pilots essential support: mydronespace supports the situational awareness of drone pilots in accordance with the applicable laws.

β€œThanks to the excellent cooperation between HungaroControl and R-SYS, the mydronespace design was tailored to the requirements of the customer, the software was successfully implemented and tested on site, and from January 1, 2021 on the day on which the implementation regulation of the commission was put into operation (EU) 2019/947 on the rules and procedures for the operation of unmanned aircraft became effective in the EU ”, stated Marek NΓ‘hlik, CEO of R-SYS.

This makes R-SYS Ltd one of the few manufacturers in the EU to have a UTM solution in their portfolio that enables the registration of drone pilots and UAS flight management, and Hungary is one of the first EU countries to have one Operates the solution and offers UTM services to drone pilots.

Before it was run for the first time, mydronespace was subjected to extensive cyber security tests, as protection against cyber threats was one of the most important requirements that the new system must meet. A synergistic benefit of integrating mydronespace (for drone pilots) into the existing NetBriefing system (for GA pilots) is a significant improvement in flight safety and airspace efficiency, while the provision of UAS for air traffic control services is increasing rapidly for both commercial and non-commercial ( Hobby) purposes.
