Sabrewing Plane Firm Declares $600 Million {Dollars} In Orders with Arabian Growth & Advertising and marketing Firm In Saudi Arabia – Drones Information

The deal includes an order for 102 unmanned heavy lift and vertical takeoff aircraft with heavy lift and “Rhaegal-B”. CAMARILLO, Calif., Sept. 29, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Sabrewing Aircraft Company has announced an exclusive agency agreement with Arabian Development & Marketing Co. (ADMC), headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The five-year renewable energy contract includes exclusivity for Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Pan-African region.

The deal includes an order for 102 vertical take-off and vertical take-off (VTOL) unmanned cargo aircraft from Sabrewing “Rhaegal-B”. ADMC will be taking additional aircraft orders across the GCC and Africa shortly. The aircraft was recently unveiled to the public during a U.S. Air Force Agility Prime event.

The contract between ADMC and Sabrewing also includes the establishment of Aircraft Assembly, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Africa to serve the Rhaegal-B fleet and provide technological jobs to the region Offer.

“We are very pleased to have ADMC as a business partner in the Middle East. It fits perfectly with Sabrewing and the ADMC management team in our shared effort to advance the development / manufacture of VTOL unmanned cargo aircraft and dominate this market sector by being the first to bring this extraordinary aircraft to market, ”said Ed De Reyes, Chairman and CEO of Sabrewing. “As the first commercial purchase of an unmanned aircraft, this is really groundbreaking and paves the way for a completely new industry.” Sabrewing’s “Rhaegal” aircraft has a turbo-electric drive train that can take off and land vertically – in mud, snow, ice, deep sand or unimproved landing surfaces – at speeds of up to 200 knots (370 km / h) and in weather that is as good as impossible for manned aircraft.

The Rhaegal is:

  • Remotely controlled for commercial operations and fully autonomous for military applications.
  • Provides a payload of 2450 kg (5,400 pounds) flying at altitudes up to 6,700 m (22,000 feet) and has a range of up to 1,800 km (1,000 nautical miles).
  • The wings fold on the ground for easy ground handling and in the air while hovering for landing in confined spaces.
  • The Rhaegal’s flip-up nose (a la Boeing 747 cargo plane) does not require any special equipment to load or unload cargo in remote locations.

All Sabrewing aircraft designs feature folding wings, flip-up noses, full pallet-sized cargo access, all-weather operation, and a unique D&A (Detect and Avoid) system with ten sensors for autonomous navigation on a path of conflicting obstacles and other air traffic.

“This agreement brings unmanned, heavy-hub, emerging technology cargo capacity to the Middle East and Pan-African markets. In addition, advanced technologies for composite manufacturing, drone development and avionic sensor integration will be brought to our region, ”said Ayman Zeibak, General Manager of ADMC.

“In addition to the transport of critical goods to our most remote regions, local high-tech jobs are created. This program really supports the vision for the future of Saudi Arabia, ”added Zeibak.

ADMC will soon offer new line position orders for high-capacity, heavy-lift unmanned cargo aircraft that are secured by deposits for deliveries from fall 2021.

“After an in-depth analysis of several heavy-lift drone manufacturers in the US, Europe and Asia, Sabrewing’s design offers tremendous capabilities and operates at a fraction of the cost of other cargo aircraft,” said Steven Chikos, senior aerospace / defense advisor, ADMC.

“Operating costs are expected to be 50% to 60% lower than manned cargo aircraft with similar payload capacity. The Sabrewing – ADMC team is ready to bring this aircraft to market years ahead of its competition, ”he added.
