Sentient publicizes over 3,000 programs deployed, new CTO appointed – Drones Information
Sentient Vision Systems announced today that with the recent sale of UAV systems to a major defense customer, they have now supplied over 3,000 of their autonomous detection solutions for EO and IR full motion video. Sentient’s solutions quickly and reliably find small, hard-to-see, moving objects on the ground such as vehicles or people, as well as objects on the ocean surface such as speedboats, rubber rafts, fishing buoys and people in the water.

Sentient also announced the appointment of Mark Palmer as its new CTO. Mark joined Sentient after 25 years at BAE, Thales and Ocean Software, where he led numerous technological innovations to successful cutting edge solutions. “I’m very excited to have Mark on the Sentient team,” said Dr. Boxer. “Mark brings a wealth of experience to defining and driving Sentient’s technical roadmap to further innovate in autonomous systems and improve the service offering to our customers.” Based in Melbourne, Australia, Mark will lead Sentient technology and innovation with the Sentient team, customers and partners worldwide.
