VectorNav Tactical Embedded

VectorNav Technologies, the global leader in embedded navigation solutions, today announced a groundbreaking new line of inertial products: the VectorNav Tactical Embedded. With a tactical IMU and a multiband GNSS receiver, the Tactical Embedded offers milliradian positional accuracy and positioning capability at the centimeter level in a 15 gram miniature package.

VectorNav’s Tactical Embedded line offers unprecedented size, performance and cost savings for a wide variety of autonomous pointing and georeferencing applications, such as: B. gimbal ISR, SATCOM systems, LiDAR mapping and photogrammetry. The Tactical Embedded also provides support for external SAASM GPS for defense applications in ISR, electronic warfare, ammunition and UAV navigation.

“The Tactical Embedded is the culmination of years of development to bring milliradian-level performance and robust positioning into a form factor that is a disruptive step in inertial navigation capability,” said John Brashear, President of VectorNav. “System integrators worldwide can now embed tactical inertial navigation functions in their electronics, unlocking a range of new applications and possibilities.”

The Tactical Embedded was developed and engineered at VectorNav’s AS9100-certified facility in Dallas, TX, USA and includes the IMN / AHRS VN-110E, the GNSS-based INS VN-210E, and the dual antenna GNSS / INS VN-310E . The highlights include:

  • 0.05-0.1 ° direction; 0.015 ° pitch & roll
  • 1 m horizontal and 1.5 m vertical position accuracy
  • 1 cm RTK positioning accuracy
  • <1 ° / h gyro in-run preload; <10 μg accelerate the in-run pre-tensioning
  • 184 channel, L1 / L2 / E1 / E5b GNSS receiver
  • Support for external RTK, PPK and SAASM GPS
  • High update rates (800 Hz IMU; 400 Hz Nav)
  • Miniature footprint: (<15 grams; 31 x 31 x 11 mm)
  • Low power: <480 mA at 3.3 V.

The Tactical Embedded is available now and will be shipped within 2 weeks. For more information, contact VectorNav at: [email protected];; +1 512-772-3615; www.vectornav.com.
